Pack 1040 Den Information

The Pack is divided up into Dens.  These age-appropriate divisions allow our Scouts to participate with their peers in small groups, as well as on a Pack-wide basis.
All boys, regardless of age, earn the Bobcat badge first - by learning the Cub Scout Promise, Law of the Pack, sign, handshake, motto, salute, and the meaning of "Webelos".
Tiger Cubs - for first-grade boys (or those who are 7 years old) and adult family members. Tiger Cubs and their adult partners will have many wonderful opportunities to search out new activities, discover new things, and share them with each other.
Wolf - for second-grade boys (or those who are 8 years old). Wolf Cubs complete 12 achievements to earn the Wolf badge. After earning their Wolf badge, Wolf Cubs work on projects in 22 different elective areas until they complete the second grade (or turn nine). For every 10 elective projects Wolf Cubs complete, they earn an Arrow Point.
Bear - for third-grade boys (or those who are 9 years old). Bear Cubs work on 12 of 24 achievements to earn the Bear badge. After earning their Bear badge, Bear Cubs work on projects in 36 elective areas until they complete the third grade (or turn ten). For every 10 elective projects Bear Cubs complete, they earn an Arrow Point.
Webelos - for fourth- and fifth-grade boys (or those who are 10 years old). Webelos Scouts work on requirements for the Webelos badge, 20 activity badges, and the Arrow of Light award (the highest award in Cub Scouting) in preparation for Boy Scouting.
After a boy earns the Arrow of Light award or reaches 11 years of age or completes the fifth grade, he is eligible to graduate from Cub Scouting to Boy Scouting.
