On Friday, March 11th, 2016 two of our own leaders were recognized with a Spirit Award and Rookie of the Year award at the Mustang District Dinner.

Spirit Award

The Spirit Award is presented to one or more Scouters in each unit who has made a significant impact in the lives of youth in the unit and/or district. Isabelle MacCrimmon, Den 7 Leader, Webmaster and Assistant Cubmaster was this year's nominee. Here, she receives her award post-celebration via Cubmaster Hodge Eagleson.Mustang District Rookie of the Year Award

The Rookie of the Year Award is a new award for 2015 to be given to an adult whose first year of service at the unit level has significantly impacted the youth and adults in the unit. Many new Scouters join a unit and automatically plug in and make significant and lasting contributions, despite being “Green.” The expectation is that they’ll continue to serve in a variety of capacities serving their unit.John Lillibridge's contributions to the Pack started when he stepped in to replace the exiting Bear den leader. Since then, John has lead his den with enthusiasm, committed himself to becoming our Leave No Trace champion, and attended various training classes.

The pack runs on volunteers. We hope this will inspire you to get more involved. Many hands make for a lighter load. Congrats to the 2016 recipients.
