Furs, Ferns & Feathers Field Trip

We have an opportunity for the boys to earn their Fur, Feathers & Ferns Adventure in one field trip (with the exception of one requirement where the boys plant seeds in a pot). Armand Bayou Nature Center offers a course for the boys on select Sunday afternoons. The cost is $10 per scout and $4 per adult. If the majority of boys/parents want to go, we will sign up our den(s) to meet this requirement. If the majority of boys sign up for this trip, we will only cover the planting of a vegetable or herb garden during a regular den meeting. Please note, that one of the requirements is to visit a zoo, nature center, rescue center, etc.

Armand Bayou Nature Center is far and siblings are NOT allowed. Those are the drawbacks.

Leader and co-leader are no charge; all other ADULTS are $4.00 payable at the Admissions office, 10 to 1 ratio preferred. Scouts earn the entire badge - except for Requirement 7, Plant A Vegetable or Herb Garden.

All work involves indoor & outdoor activities. Workshops are held rain or shine. All must wear closed toed shoes, NO Sandals or Flip-Flops. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

ABSOLUTELY NO TAG ALONGS!
