Be Derby Ready

It's almost time to get your engines running.

In order to have a smooth race day, we'd like to remind you of a few points:

Friday night - 6:30pm - Askew Elementary Cafeteria

Pre-race Car check-in:

If possible, please check in your car Friday night. Your car will stay overnight in the Derby holding area until race time. This will shorten the wait times to check in on Saturday morning.

You will be able to make slight modifications if your car does not pass inspection, however, your car should have been built at home beforehand. Please do not expect to be able to build your car on Friday night. There will not be enough tools to do so.

Saturday Morning - Askew Cafeteria

8:30 - 9:30am - Check in time

Please help us run on time by being punctual if you haven't checked in your car on Friday night. Basic tools will be available to make adjustments and corrections so you pass inspection. You can review the guidelines here. Again, please come prepared and do not plan on building your car that morning.

Breakfast treats and coffee will be available for sale from 8:30 until sell-out.

9:45 -10:00am - Heat generation, race setup and judging

Once check-in is closed, we will enter all the racer information and prepare the cars for racing. Judges will look at the cars to determine the Creative awards.

10:00am - Racetime and award ceremony

Racing will start by rank and based on computer generated heats. Each car will run 3 times, once on each track.You do not have to be present for your car to run.

Awards will be presented once all cars have completed their 3 runs.

PLEASE STAY AFTER THE RACE IF POSSIBLE

We will be distributing "Scouting for Food" Flyers immediately following the race. Flyers will be distributed around Askew Elementary, and usually lasts less than an hour.
